Die gerade 17-jährige Mari und ihre Freundin sind auf dem Weg zu einem Rockkonzert. In der Stadt werden sie jedoch von ein paar sadistischen Ausbrechern gekidnappt, mißhandelt und brutal ermordet. Während ihrer Flucht übernachten die Killer, ohne es zu wissen, bei den Eltern von Mari. Diese finden aber rasch heraus, wer sich in ihrem Haus befindet, und der Vater schwört blutige Rache.
Ich kann nur einen Begriff verwenden, VERSTÖREND, mehr geht da nicht! Wenn jemandem wie mir, die Luft wegbleibt, dann will das was heißen! Ich habe schon einiges an Filmen gesehen, auch viel Schund und Gewalt, aber das was dort abgeht, kann man einfach nicht beschreiben! Ich würde sagen, dies ist einer der besten Filme, die Wes Craven je gemacht hat! Rape & Revenge Filme, sind nicht "jedermanns" bzw. "jederfraus" Sache, und für zartbesaitete Gemüter erst recht nicht! Die Gewalt wird zwar nicht so explizit wie in "I spit on your grave" dargestellt, aber es reicht vollkommen aus! Am Schluß bin ich dagesessen und habe mir echt so meine Gedanken gemacht! Dieser Film war ein Schlag in die Magengrube!
